Burn Permits
Information about burn permits and outdoor burning regulations can be obtained by calling our non-emergency number. Please note that burn bans may be in effect during dry conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you provide ambulance service?
Palmyra VFD provides first responder emergency medical care. We work in coordination with county EMS services who provide ambulance transport.
Can you fill my swimming pool?
No, our water supply is reserved for emergency fire suppression only.
Will you open my locked car/house?
We can assist with lockouts in emergency situations only (child or pet locked in vehicle, medical emergency, etc.). For non-emergencies, please contact a locksmith.
Do you inspect fire extinguishers?
We do not provide commercial fire extinguisher inspection or certification. Please contact a licensed fire equipment company.
Can you conduct a home fire safety inspection?
Yes! Contact us to schedule a home fire safety inspection. We’ll check smoke detectors, discuss escape plans, and provide safety recommendations.
